Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, declares that retirement age in Ukraine will not be raised.

"We should finish with this issue in view of the low standards of life and short life span," V.Lytvyn stated in the interview to Rada television channel.

He deems necessary to consider other ways of filling the Pension Fund, alternative to the increase of the retirement age.
